Oddball DVD Giveaway Ending March 18th, 2017! #OddBall #BasedOnTrueStory #Giveaway

Chelsea and I truly love learning about new movies that are available throughout the world. Stories about animals and especially Based on True Stories.

Oddball is based on the true story of an eccentric chicken farmer, who with the help of his granddaughter, trains his mischievous dog Oddball to protect a penguin sanctuary from fox attacks in an attempt to reunite his family and save their seaside town.

Chelsea and I truly enjoyed this movie. I did however feel that this movie is truly meant for older children so that they can understand what is going on better. We especially love that it is an Australian film. My Sister used to live there and since I never got to visit her while she was living there so it is nice to enjoy this sweet film and see the landmarks at the same time.

The film is described as family fare, and Oddball steals every scene he is in, but I think children would be a little restless with the amount of story taken up with the affairs of the adults. Maybe the filmmakers tried to cram in too much. Along with the case for conservation, every character in the film seems to have a back-story. But it’s all at the expense of more time with Oddball and the real stars of the show – the fairy penguins.

I have been given the opportunity to give one of my lucky readers a DVD copy of this sweet family film.
