Pirate’s Booty® Embarks on a “Treasure Hunt” Adventure in the 89th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® #MacyDayParade #FamilyTraditions #Ad

For nearly 30 years, the Pirate’s Booty® Pirate and his first mate, Crunchy the Parrot, have been providing bettarrr-for-you snacking options for kids—and kids at heart—who enjoy the satisfying crunch of baked rice and corn puffs. For the second year in a row, The Pirate’s Booty Pirate and Crunchy the Parrot will join the momentous holiday event that is the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®.

“The Pirate’s Booty family is excited to once again board the “Treasure Hunt” float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and participate in this cherished holiday event,” said Erin Lifeso, Vice President of Snacks Marketing at B&G Foods.  “As we ride along the famed parade route, we are delighted to bring the adventurous spirit and fun of our better-for-you snacks to millions of families across the country as they celebrate Thanksgiving.”

To celebrate the 89th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Pirate’s Booty will help ignite holiday fun for all little buccaneers and bring the magic of the parade into homes nationwide with a variety of activities available on its website, www.piratebrands.com. Activities include origami boat and eye patch crafts, a treasure hunt map, and a pirate’s drawing guide.  A glossary of pirate lingo is also offered so yarrr mateys can share their pirate speak at the Thanksgiving table and join the Pirate’s Booty Pirate in his parade adventures.

In its sophomore year, the “Treasure Hunt” float from Pirate’s Booty makes waves as a 40-foot tall pirate ship that displays a giant treasure map and surprises that will shiver yarrr timbers as it sets sail down the streets of Manhattan. The Pirate’s Booty Pirate will steer the ship, while his first mate Crunchy the Parrot will keep a lookout from the crow’s nest.

Pirate’s Booty will make a splash on Thursday, Nov. 26, at the 89th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, airing live nationwide on NBC-TV. The festivities kick off at 9:00 a.m., in all time zones. For more information about Pirate’s Booty, please visit www.piratebrands.com.
