It is hard to believe that we are already into September. It nice having the breezy mornings the last couple of days. I can hardly wait for the day I can turn my AC off and enjoy my less than $100 power bills. I know I have a couple more weeks of AC time but I am counting down the days. I love the fall and spring since we don’t need a heater or the AC on.
I always start thinking about the holidays in the month of September. I have already been hitting the stores and preparing my holiday shopping lists. I know you must be thinking how can I be thinking about the holidays already. I have always been the type of person to shop for my family and friends throughout the whole year. Some years I do better than others. I have just about all of Chelsea’s presents picked out already. I am in the process of getting the gifts together for my hubby. Chelsea and I always get him a box full of hot wheels to add to his collection as well as some necessities in his stocking.
Chelsea has been in love with stuffed animals, My Little Pony, LaLaLoopsy Dolls, Coloring and playing with her Thomas The Train Collection. She loves when her daddy plays with her. Hope you are ready for us to share our ideas of great items for gifts this holiday season. We will be kicking it off the first week of October so stay turned we will be adding items to this list until the first week of December.
Every year it has been a tradition of mine to donate to one of our largest toy drives in the area. I have already been collecting items to go into our donation. So far I believe we have 10 toys. I am hoping to get at least 2o together to donate. I always watch for clearance sales at the different stores so that I can get the best deals when it comes to getting gifts and for my donations. I have been donating to this toy drive for the past 8 years. I want my daughter to understand that some families are unable to provide their family with the necessities or even Christmas for their family. It feels good when your able to help other families.
What do you do as a tradition during the holidays? Do you donate to local toy drive or other organization?
