Recipes by Coley: Quick & Easy Tilapia Cevechie! #RegalSpringsTilapia

We got the opportunity to try out Regal Springs Tilapia so my family and I decided to make some Cevechie and let me tell you it was delicious! I wanted to share with you an easy way to enjoy this delicious Tilapia!

  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 medium packs of Cilantro
  • 1 large bag of limes
  • 2lbs of Tilapia Filets

First off dice up the tomatoes, onions and cilantro and mix together in a bowl. Next gently slice the top of of the limes and then squeeze the limes into a separate bowl. My husband says that by just buying a container a lime juice it will not cook the tilapia correctly. Next dice up the tilapia into very small pieces. Once you have completed that put the lime juice over the tilapia make sure that the lime juice covers the tilapia completely or else it will not cook evenly. Next cover the bowl with saran wrap or a lid and place in the refrigerator. I had it sit in the fridge overnight night. Next you have to squeeze all of the lime juice out of the tilapia otherwise it will have a bit of a sour taste. Next you mix the cilantro, onions and tomatoes into the dish. Eat with your favorite tortilla chips or even make a taco. Enjoy we sure did.

This is a great dish for get togethers or even parties. I know my family has had this available many times for special meals or even times when our family gets together for a celebration. Regal Springs Tilapia is available at many retailers near you to find out more information: Click Here
