Chelsea just loves sitting down and looking at the different books and reading about shapes, colors and different activities. We talk about each page of the books so she learns more about each different item on the pages.
These are several different books that we would like to share about:
Tiny Travelers: France
By Misti Kenison; January 2015; $5.95; 978162914-6096
This book teaches about the different colors. As we turn through each page I ask her what color is the different items. She has been having a tough time with the color gray but otherwise she has been doing good. I did notice that the page that is supposed to be blue looks like purple so it confuses her.
Tiny Travelers: Egypt
By Misti Kenison; January 2015; $5.95; 9781629146072
This book teaches about different shapes. Some of the shapes are a bit advanced for her. Though she is able to guess most of them correctly.
Pierre The French Bulldog Recycles
By Kate Louise; Illustrated by Bethany Straker; March 10, 2015; $14.99; 9781632204110 (Ages 3-6)
This sweet little story teaches children about recycling. Pierre automatically puts his old toys, newspapers and bottles in the trash can. When he sees the recycling can is sad. He learns that he was supposed to put the newspaper and water bottle in that can instead. Not quick enough to grab out of the trashcan. So he runs to the landfill and sees how much trash is polluting the land. He grabs his newspaper and bottle to take it back to the recycling can.
Chelsea really loved this story. She kept talking about the different pictures and how all of the dogs were following Pierre to the landfill.
Always There Bear
By Trudi Granger; Illustrated by Gareth Llewhellin; March 10, 2015; $16.99; 9781632204349 (Ages 2-5)
It’s always nice to have an always there bear. It doesn’t matter if you’re tired or sulky or shy or scared. You’ll never be lonely with your bear by your side! He always understands you, and most importantly, he promises to love you, forever and always, no matter what. Always There Bear is a peaceful and soothing book, perfect for comforting little ones or lulling them to sleep. It’s a heartwarming and gentle tale of unconditional love and companionship through many kinds of experiences.
Always there bear really struck a string. This book is just great for little Chelsea. She always has one of her animals or baby dolls with her. She just cherishes them. She is always wanting to be with her mommy. Definitely a little mommy’s girl.
ABC Universe
Chelsea really enjoys this book. She reads it just about every day. She loves learning about her ABC’s as well about the Stars and Planets. This was definitely an informational book. I really love that it is a hard book so papers don’t get easily torn. It is perfect for toddlers.
Megan Owlet
Chelsea really has been enjoying this book. I really think its a sweet story. Some books I am not able to let Chelsea handle on her own until she is a little bit older but it is a great book for story time. We cuddle up in bed and enjoy a few books. Its a great way to end the day on a good note and get settled down for bedtime.
